For licensing and collector programmes

Numbered editions, made to be collected

The M&M’S character as the Statue of Liberty in silver and 24-karat gold on a copper pedestal

In 1994 Disney appointed D’Argenta its licensee in Mexico, with more than twenty characters in gold and silver. The Franklin Mint and Wall Street Creations each sold a D’Argenta limited edition of 500. A numbered edition is how a brand turns an icon into something people seek out.

What a collector edition needs

An edition is only as good as the trust behind it. Each piece must be identical in quality to the first, the edition size must be fixed and honoured, and authenticity must be checkable for as long as the pieces are traded.

D’Argenta keeps a registry of every piece it makes, searchable by serial number, so authenticity can be confirmed on request. D’Argenta editions already have a secondary market: limited-edition pieces have been offered at auction in the United States and in Mexico City.

How a licensed programme works with us

The brand owner approves the design and every reference to its marks; we make the prototype for approval, then the edition, numbered and recorded. Editions can be sold through the brand’s own stores and catalogues, given to the trade, or both.
