D’Argenta Enterprise

Questions

What D’Argenta finishes, in which metals, and how a project starts — answered plainly.

What kinds of products do you make?

Anything whose surface has to read as luxury when it is picked up. Bottle closures and caps, decanters and bottles, emblems and badges, cases and trim, components and hardware. If it can be held and it carries a brand, it is the kind of thing we make.

Do you design and manufacture, or only finish?

All three. Some clients send us a part they already produce and we finish it. Others bring a drawing. Others bring nothing but an idea, and we design the piece, manufacture it and finish it from scratch.

Which metals do you work in?

Copper, silver and 24-karat gold.

Is there a minimum order?

No. We will make one piece. But quantity does change the price: there are economies of scale, and there is a second effect people underestimate — once the workforce has made a particular shape a few hundred times, they find faster ways to do it, and that shows up in what it costs you.

What volumes can you handle?

We have produced up to 80,000 bottle caps a year for Tequila Patrón. That is the scale the workshop reaches when a shape is settled and running.

How long does it take?

It depends on quantity, on the project and on how complex the design is. A very simple piece is about a week. A complex one runs to about a month. We will give you a real date once we have seen the part.

Can we see it before we commit?

Yes. We make prototypes and you review them before anything is committed. A finish is difficult to argue about in words and simple to judge in the hand.

Where is the work done?

In Mexico City, by hand, as it has been since 1976.

How does a project start?

Send us the part or the drawing, tell us the finish you have in mind, and we will come back to you. If it is easier to talk, book a consultation.
