Luxury at volume
A closure on a premium spirit is the first thing a buyer touches and the last thing they see on the shelf. On a bottle like Platinum it carries the price as much as the liquid does. That means every one of tens of thousands has to be as good as the one in the advertisement.
Hand-finishing at that scale is possible because of repetition: once a workshop has made the same shape a few hundred times it finds faster ways to make it — without lowering the standard — and that efficiency is passed back to the client.
